How Silver Spur keeps a device register accurate after day one.
Most asset spreadsheets go stale within a quarter. Silver Spur ties each record to your MDM, so assignments and OS data stay current, and adds the parts an MDM does not track: purchase cost, warranty, custody and disposal.
Device sync
Connect Microsoft Intune through Microsoft Graph with read-only managed device permissions, or Google Workspace with read-only device and directory scopes. Sync runs every hour. Devices bought but not yet enrolled can be added from a CSV with serial number, model, purchase date, price and order number.
Records are matched on serial number, so a device that appears in both your MDM and a purchase CSV becomes one record.

Warranty and age rules
Define device classes (laptop, desktop, phone, tablet) and an age limit for each. Silver Spur sends an email digest each Monday listing devices whose warranty ends within 90, 30 or 0 days and devices crossing their age limit. Rules can differ by department, for example a shorter cycle for engineering laptops.
Custody and disposal
Each device moves through Ordered, Assigned, Returned and Retired. A handover records who received the device, the date and the accessories. A retirement requires a disposal method (resale, recycling, donation) and lets you attach the wipe certificate PDF from your recycler, so offboarding and audit questions have a dated answer.
